If you’re ready to showcase your technology, creativity, and teamwork — we can’t wait to see what you’re building.

How to Register

To complete your registration, your team must submit:

Fill out the official registration form. This includes:

  • Team name
  • University
  • Country
  • Team leader contact information
  • Estimated number of participants
  • Estimated drone specifications

The concept and strategy method statement is a proof of intent from the participating members to the TAC Challenge organizers. It should be no more than 2 pages of text (size 12). Pictures are highly welcomed in the report (eg. Concept drawings, CAD drawings, small scale testing and more).

This report might be used to qualify teams.

The questions you must answer in the report are:

Concept report

  1. How do you plan to design, manufacture and assemble the drone? Which part of the system do you expect to be most technically challenging, and why?
  2. What is the estimated development cost of the drone? Name two cost drivers that dominate your budget. Which component would you remove or simplify if your budget was cut by 30%?
  3. What are the overall sensors that you plan to utilize during the competition? Which sensor do you consider the highest risk, and how would you operate without it?

Strategy method statement

  1. How do you plan to solve the different tasks at the TAC Challenge?
  2. What task do you believe will be hardest?
  3. What assumptions are you making about the competition environment that, if wrong, would most likely cause your system to fail?

The Concept Report and Strategy Statement are an important part of the preparation and evaluation process. They provide insight into your team’s planned approach, technical maturity, and understanding of the competition.

Due to practical limitations and safety considerations, the number of teams that can participate in the final competition may be limited. If necessary, the submitted reports will be used as part of a qualification process to determine which teams proceed to the final stage. Depending on the number and quality of submissions, this may result in a selection of teams being accepted.

Once your documents are submitted, the organizing committee will review your application. You will receive confirmation of participation after the evaluation process is complete.

Official Feedback will be given by April 10th

Evaluation Basis: Submissions will be reviewed based on; Technical feasibility and level of development, Understanding of mission requirements, System design and integration, Consideration of safety and engineering practices.

After Submission: All teams will receive confirmation of submission. Teams will be informed of the outcome after the deadline by the 10th of April. Selected teams will proceed to the competition phase.
